Promote Your Facebook Page

Promote Your Facebook Page

Existing Friends

The first thing you need to do when you create a Facebook page is promote it to the people you know.

This is instructions on how to do this, Open your facebook business page, and click on the 3 dots in your banner menu, then select Invite Friends.

Now scroll down your list of friends and invite as many as you can, most people will accept and like your page, however if they dont it will record that the invite was sent to them.

We advise that you do this every month or two so any new friends are invited and you keep your page likes growing.

Paid Promotion

There is a great deal of information out there on how to promote your page via paid promotion, however there are some things that you have to consider.

The image can only contain 20% of text, where as a video is completely open to what ever amount of text you want to use.

Promote the right thing, at first you are going to want to promote your page to get likes. So make your ad to suit that goal, not a single product or product selection, rather promote that you offer both product and valuable information they cannot get anywhere else.

Make sure your page has content and some history, even if you are posting to a very small group initially, this will ensure when new people come to your page that it doesnt look like it was just made today.

Dont just post product!

Make sure you find, make or link to valuable content that is inline with your business or product. A good rule of thumb on this is to have 2 is to 3 ratio, so for every 2 products you post, have 3 posts on general interest, information, help guides etc.

Linking off to articles is good and will help with content on your Facebook page, but also try to put the information into the post itself, this means the user does not have to go to another page just to view the article.

Images work, more than 10 words is the point where you loose your customers attention, so use images and short paragraphs to get your information out there, you can link to a page on your website to have more information, but start with images and short text.

Post regularly, daily postings ensure that your Facebook page looks well maintained and active.

Answer Questions promptly, this is necessary to get a good rating from Facebook. They monitor how long it takes you to respond to a question, and you are better off having a great response time rather than not.

Keep promoting, this is a never ending story, and in order to keep growing you should run a paid Facebook campaign at least once a month.
